理事長的話｜路永佳 Yung-Chia Lu

當初創立「心希望」的念頭，來自一個簡單卻深刻的信念：
在這條社會不斷往前奔馳的道路上，應該要留下一些溫柔的空間，讓那些走得慢、走得累，甚至一開始就沒有起跑線的孩子，也能被看見、被接住。

我們尤其關注弱勢族群中的孩子們——那些在身體、家庭或社會背景中背負著不幸的小小生命。他們並不缺乏潛能，缺的只是那一雙願意蹲下身、溫柔托起他們的手。我們希望能為他們建立一個更公平的起點，一個有機會努力、有機會被理解、有機會被成全的環境。

這些孩子，就像一株株尚未長成的小苗，可能因為風雨飄搖而折斷，可能因為無人呵護而枯萎。但如果我們願意用一點耐心、一點關懷去灌溉，也許有一天，他們會開出美麗的花朵，吸引彩蝶與群蜂，開始他們世代繁盛的希望旅程。

我們從來不是什麼偉大的力量，只是幾棵願意佇立在土地上的老樹，為孩子們遮一點風、擋一點雨。我們相信這片土地有潛力，我們相信未來仍然可以被改寫，只要有人願意為他們守候。

也許途中有孩子會跌倒、會迷惘、會想放棄，但我們希望他們能記得：這個社會，從來沒有放棄過他們。他們曾經得到過的每一點幫助、每一份陪伴，都將化作他們日後的勇氣與慈悲，讓他們也願意成為別人的幫助，成為他人生命中的一束光。

若這樣的種子能夠一代一代傳遞出去，一棵樹變成一片林，那我們心中的希望，就真的能落地生根，枝繁葉茂。

我們一直相信，也願意一同守護這樣的信念，靜靜努力、默默耕耘，直到有一天，更多的孩子能昂首站上他們自己的起跑線，自信地奔跑在人生的路上。

Words from the chairwomen

The original idea for founding "Hope For Life" stemmed from a simple yet profound conviction:
In this society's relentless march forward, there should be room for tenderness, allowing those who walk slower, feel more tired, or even those who haven't even started from the start, to be seen and embraced.

We are particularly concerned with children from vulnerable groups—those burdened by adversity, whether physical, familial, or social circumstances. They don't lack potential; they simply lack a hand willing to bend down and gently support them. We hope to create a fairer starting point for them, an environment where they have the opportunity to strive, to be understood, and to be fulfilled.

These children are like immature seedlings, vulnerable to being broken by the wind and rain, or withered by neglect. But if we nurture them with a little patience and care, perhaps one day they will blossom into beautiful flowers, attracting butterflies and bees, and begin their journey of hope that will flourish for generations to come.

We have never been a great force, but merely a few old trees willing to stand firm on the land, providing a little shelter from the wind and rain for these children. We believe this land has potential, and we believe the future can still be rewritten, as long as there are people willing to watch over them.

Perhaps along the way, some children will stumble, feel lost, or even want to give up, but we hope they will remember: this society has never given up on them. Every bit of help and companionship they have received will transform into courage and compassion in their future, enabling them to be a help to others and a light in their lives.

If such seeds can be passed down from generation to generation, and one tree becomes a forest, then the hope in our hearts will truly take root and flourish.

We have always believed and are willing to protect this belief together, working quietly and silently until one day, more children can stand at their own starting line with their heads held high and confidently run on the road of life.
